Services for Schools
Supporting Educators in the School Environment
At Behavior Strategies we understand the important role schools have in helping all children reach their full potential, and the challenges that educators face along the way.
Because no two situations are alike, we use a wide range of behavioral services to support schools and the students they serve.
Many professionals want direct training in dealing with difficult behavior. That’s why we offer 1:1 teacher training and coaching, either in the classroom, or online.
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) can assist with coaching staff through a wide variety of situations such as:
• Preventing problem behavior
• Managing problem behavior when it occurs
• Best practices for teaching kids with autism and other developmental disabilities
• Curriculum development
• Classroom set-up to reduce the occurrence of maladaptive behaviors
• Data collection to identify why behaviors occur and how to modify problem behaviors
Behavior Strategies can help your organization build its own ABA program and provides assistance on all aspects of establishing a successful program for children with autism and related disabilities.
• Some of the services offered include:
• Evaluation and design of learning environments
• Launching classroom-wide behavior support systems
• Forming data collection systems that work for the classroom
• Assistance with curriculum selection and lesson plan development
We also provide evaluation as well as guidance for improving existing programs to align them with best practices.
In-service workshops and trainings can be designed to meet your school or organization’s needs. Some of our past trainings have included:

We offer training for professionals interested in becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), as well as support and ongoing supervision.
A BCBA is available to work directly with parents to offer training, education and support in the home and ensure carryover.
Functional behavior assessments are conducted in order to determine why a student is engaging in challenging behavior and identify variables that make problem behavior more or less likely to occur. The results of an FBA can lead to the development of strategies to reduce undesirable behaviors and increase desirable behaviors.
Behavior intervention plans are developed utilizing the results of an FBA. Each plan is unique to the individual student’s behavior, focusing on positive behavior change strategies. Training and ongoing consultation are provided regarding plan implementation.
