Services for Families
Overcoming Barriers to Success
Behavior Strategies offers ABA therapeutic services directly to children and their families.
We want to help your child learn necessary skills and overcome any obstacles they may be facing. Whether these occur at home, in school or out in the community, we are here for you!
Our professional services include:
Our process starts with an individual assessment of your child’s current level of functioning. This allows us to develop an individualized treatment plan that addresses your child’s specific needs.
During 1:1 sessions, your child will work with a therapist on specific goals derived from his or her individualized treatment plan. Some of the areas that may be addressed include:
• Social skills
• Communication skills
• Play and leisure skills
• Imitation skills
• Self-help skills (such as potty training, using utensils, hygiene, tying shoes, dressing, etc.)
• School readiness skills
If your child displays aggressive or undesirable behaviors, a BCBA can perform a functional behavior assessment (FBA) to determine the function of these behaviors and develop a behavior intervention plan (BIP). BIPs are carefully designed to decrease undesired behaviors while increasing desirable replacement behaviors.
Parent training has been shown to reduce stress within the family and improve child treatment outcomes. A BCBA can work with you virtually, in your home, or out in the community to provide education as well as hands-on training to address an array of behaviors.
